As I stay awake
In the middle of the night
Sky is overcast so is my mind
The sound of the dark
Surrounds my soul so tired
Wish I could sleep tonight in peace
Desperate and so keen
My thoughts are drifting
Like a small boat lost in the sea
So near to my heart
Yet my love is so far away
Wait seems endless in this dark night.
